Shopping: Siam Mall, Gran Sur & outlets

From the air-conditioned mall to the outlet, shopping close by.

The Canaries are a special zone with low VAT, so shopping can pay off here. Around Costa Adeje there are several shopping centres, all just a few minutes from the holiday home.

Siam Mall & Gran Sur

The Siam Mall in Costa Adeje is the largest and most modern in the area: two floors with international brands, electronics, fashion and a food court. The neighbouring Centro Comercial Gran Sur adds more shops, a cinema and restaurants. Both are air-conditioned, pleasant on hot afternoons.

Outlet & weekly markets

Bargain hunters will find something in the outlet area (around the former “El Mirador”/Galeón). It gets more authentic at the region’s weekly markets, for example in Los Cristianos or Alcalá, where there is fruit, cheese, honey and crafts. The lower VAT often makes electronics, perfume and spirits in particular cheaper than on the mainland.

Frequently asked questions

Is shopping on Tenerife really cheaper?

Which shopping centre is the largest?

The Siam Mall in Costa Adeje is the largest and most modern centre on the south-west coast, easy to reach and air-conditioned.
